This month I thought I would share with you all some information we frequently hand out to our clients. Since we are so often handing out this contact information, we thought it might be helpful to just put it all in one place where anyone can reference it. This list is not meant to imply that other businesses do not meet certain standards, instead these are businesses we feel we can personally recommend due to our knowledge of their quality, experience working with them, and in many cases their adherence to similar holistic principles to the ones we practice at Whole Health Pet Center. Groomers:

Country Dog, Catherine Frend: 816-527-7995 for just about any pet, but especially if you want help caring for a natural coat, preventing mats, and keeping your pet’s coat healthy. She does NOT shave down animals as a general rule unless necessary for their health. Lots of training and experience, regular continuing education for groomers.

Boarding:

Canine Massage Therapists:

Both of these therapists are well known and utilized in the local canine performance world and can do any dog good with their skilled massage technique. They can do individual massage appointments or provide massages for dogs at local events.

Pet Cemetery/Afterlife care:

Rolling Acres Memorial Gardens for Pets, 12200 N Crooked Rd, Kansas City, MO (Parkville area but worth the drive). 816-891-8888. Beautiful grounds, pet cemetery, on-site funeral services, on-site group or individual cremation, will pick up deceased pets including horses and deliver cremains, huge selection of memorial urns, pet-loss grief counseling. This company is better than a lot of human funeral homes, we cannot recommend them highly enough. Very professional and caring.

Other Businesses: Dr Leonard belongs to a networking group of many other business owners. These are members of her own chapter, plus a few others, who she knows well and trusts to do good work. She also can help you find other businesses of different professions in the KC area, or even elsewhere, that have also been interviewed and are known to be trustworthy businesses in their own chapters.
